Who we are and what this covers

Lesscreen is operated by jirryjirry. This policy covers the Lesscreen iOS app, its extensions, these support pages and messages you send us. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@jirryjirry.com.

02

Screen Time and data on your device

With your authorization, Lesscreen uses Apple’s FamilyControls, DeviceActivity and ManagedSettings frameworks to apply your chosen rules. Selected apps, categories and websites are represented by Apple-provided tokens. Plans, schedules, daily-limit state, recent session information and local diagnostic counters are stored on your device and shared only with Lesscreen’s extensions through an App Group.

The current implementation does not upload those selections or plan records to our servers. It does not read the contents of other apps, messages, photos or the pages you visit. Device backups are handled by iOS and your Apple settings; they are separate from Lesscreen’s own storage.

03

Analytics and technical diagnostics

The app includes Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring, together with related installation and session services. Depending on the service and configuration, these services process app-instance or installation identifiers, app interactions, device and operating-system information, crash traces, app state, session information, performance measurements and network-request metadata. Network connections also expose an IP address, which some services use to derive approximate geography.

We use these services to understand app use, diagnose failures and improve reliability. Local diagnostic counters shown in Lesscreen are separate from Firebase’s automatic collection. The current app does not offer an in-app switch to turn all Firebase collection off. Revoking Screen Time permission does not itself disable Firebase.

04

Support and website information

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide. We use them to respond and investigate your issue. Please avoid sending sensitive information or screenshots containing private app content.

These pages include no advertising trackers or website analytics scripts. The hosting provider may process request information such as IP address, browser information and access time to deliver and secure the website. Clicking a mail link opens your email app; it does not send a message automatically.

05

Why we use and share information

We process information to provide the functions you request, maintain and improve the app, respond to support requests and meet legal obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these purposes may rely on performance of the service, legitimate interests in reliability and support, legal obligations, or consent where required.

Service providers, including Google/Firebase, website hosting and email providers, process information necessary for their services. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards. The current app contains no advertising interface. We do not use your Screen Time selections for advertising.

06

Retention, storage and security

Local records remain subject to the app’s storage and deletion behavior and iOS data management. You can delete plans in Lesscreen when they are not protected by an active blocking period. Removing the app does not necessarily remove copies held in device backups or diagnostics already sent to service providers.

We retain support correspondence and technical data only as needed for support, reliability, security and applicable legal obligations. Firebase data is also subject to the relevant service’s configured retention and deletion processes. Data processed by service providers may be stored outside your country. We use available technical and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is risk-free.

07

Your choices and privacy rights

You can review or revoke Screen Time permission in iOS Settings; doing so affects blocking functionality. No Lesscreen account is required, so there is no account-deletion step. For requests to access, correct or delete information you have sent us, or to object to or restrict processing where applicable, email support@jirryjirry.com. We may request limited information to verify and locate your data; we cannot reliably identify every diagnostic event from an email address alone.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to portability, withdrawal of consent and a complaint to your local data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not limited by this policy.

08

Children

Lesscreen is intended for people managing their own device use, not for secretly monitoring another person. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children below the applicable age of consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.

09

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the product or our processing changes. The current version and its update date are published here. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes. Contact jirryjirry at support@jirryjirry.com.
