Quick help

Choose a camera

Tap the camera model button on the shooting screen. Pick from Digital, Film, or Instant. Use the down button to close the model sheet.

Find sample photos

Open the model sheet and tap Samples beside the selected camera. Each gallery demonstrates that camera’s intended color and frame.

Date and camera sounds

Open Settings from the model sheet. Date Watermark affects film and instant cameras; digital-camera timestamps remain part of their signature look.

Portrait and landscape

Hold your iPhone in the direction you want to shoot. CCDCamera reads physical orientation even when iOS Portrait Orientation Lock is enabled.

Permissions

Camera

Required for the live viewfinder, front and rear camera switching, and photo capture.

Photos

Used only when you save a finished photo or open the system photo library from inside the app.

Your images are processed locally. CCDCamera does not require an account and does not upload your photos for camera-effect processing.

Troubleshooting

  1. If the viewfinder is unavailable, open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and enable CCDCamera.
  2. If a photo cannot be saved, open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos and allow CCDCamera to add photos.
  3. If camera sounds are silent, verify Camera Sounds is enabled inside CCDCamera Settings and check the iPhone volume.
  4. If orientation is incorrect, return the phone upright briefly, then rotate it steadily before pressing the shutter.
  5. If an issue remains, include your iPhone model, iOS version, selected camera, and the steps that reproduce it when contacting the developer through the App Store listing.
